Though I sometimes do not like to admit it, my DVR works overtime each week. I have seen a number of other bloggers talk TV since the Fall line-up has started to premier and thought I would jump on board. Below is a list of the shows I record each week. I do not watch all these shows the night they air (I would never go to bed on Sunday!), but watch some from earlier in the week later on. Of course, I also watch the news, usually both local and national, each night as well.
*These shows are not currently on. Their seasons just ended.
Sunday
Meet the Press - I know you are all thinking I am not intellectual enough or a huge nerd for watching this, but it is one of my favorites and always informative.
Revenge- Cannot wait for Revenge to start back up. From the set to the clothing to the plot this is one of my favorite shows on TV.
Park 666- I am excited about watching the premier this week. It seems up my alley!
*Downton Abbey- Yes, I have paid to watch Season 3 online because I just could not wait until January. My, has it been worth every single penny. I laughed hysterically and cried in the first episode. Best show on TV!!
*Mad Men- I followed Don and Peggy for several years and was excited they were back this year. Love the clothes and the twisted plot.
Monday
Gallery Girls- Since I majored in Art History I love this show. It is much more of an authentic reality show in my opinion. Not so scripted like The Hills.
*Pretty Little Liars- Every time I watch I am shocked this show in on ABC Family. It is SO scary, but SO good!
*United Bates of America- I have been following the Bates since they first appeared on 16 Kids and Counting. Maybe it is an only child syndrome, but large families fascinate me.
Tuesday
Dancing with the Stars Elimination- I will only watch the elimination until the top five. Honestly, I am only watching this season because I saw Emmitt and Pat Smith at Women of Faith last week and felt compelled.
19 Kids and Counting- I LOVE the Duggar family! I know many of you do not, but they love all their children and I respect a family that has no debt and puts God first. They take me back to my AR roots too!
Abby and Brittany- I have been recording this show since the premier and usually watch it on Saturday as a background filler. These sisters amaze me and they are from MN.
*Teen Mom- I watched every season. Again, another guilty pleasure.
Wednesday
*American Idol- For the very first time ever my contestant finally won! I cannot wait to cheer on a new crowd and watch the new judges come January.
Thursday
Glee- While I feel like the show has gone down hill I still record it and watch for the music.
Living Abroad- Unlike House Hunters, this show offers a much more in depth look at living overseas. Dubai, Singapore and Geneva have all been featured.
Friday
Georgetown Cupcake- As a lover of all sugar concoctions did you expect anything less? I love watching the sister duo create cupcake sculptures.
*The Monarchy- This was a fascinating show on the British Monarchy. Each week a different aspect was highlighted. From Royal visits abroad, to running the palace to the famous garden party we got a glimpse into a life only a few will ever live. I am leaving this on the list since some other shows that fall into this same category pop up now and then and of course I record them all.
**I tried Breaking Amish but could not get into it. If you want an interesting documentary on Amish teens watch the Devil's Playground. It is fascinating!
**I also tried to get into X Factor and just could not. I will remain an Idol fan.
**I also record certain Masterpiece Theaters. I look at the description each week and then vote yes or no.
Do we share any TV interests or do you feel like I am missing out on anything?

Longish time lurker here. What site-method are you using to watch Downton?! I am obsessed and am more than willing to pay to watch! I watched the first 2 seasons in 4 days.... the first time I watched it....
Dying to know about Downton Abbey too! Have considered facetiming with my London pals but thought too obsessive. XO
Downton Abbey?
Please spill the beans!
Do tell where you found DA3 because it's not on Amazon.com where I go to buy it! I honestly don't watch that much television. Sunday - Downton Abbey when it returns. Monday - Bones & Gossip Girl. Tuesday - Pretty Little Liars. I'll watch DWTS if there is more than one celebrity on there worth cheering for (which there hasn't been for quite a while). I also used to watch Who Do You Think You Are? and Pan Am, but they're both canceled now.
Yes!! Downton Abbey, how are you getting it? Please tell. I really want to watch it now, even though my husband says it is ridiculous to pay for it. Men, they just don't get it. :-)
I happy to reply to emails about Downton Season 3. Please drop me a note and I'll gladly pass on all information!
I love PLL and the Kardashians! Such guilty pleasures but so fun!
I'm so excited for Revenge to be back! They just put the first season on netflix and I watched a few episodes last night. I also love PLL...can't wait for that! Once Upon a Time is another tv love of mine...I think it's on right before Revenge.
I have to add Parenthood and Modern Family to the list.
I love Modern Family! We just started watching last season and I am hooked.
Love Pretty Little Liars! Can't wait for the Halloween show to tide me over until the next season in January (I believe!)
And I'm gonna try to be strong and wait for Downton Abbey in January. But it'll be hard!
The only shows I really watch are Grey's Anatomy and Big Bang Theory. I also love TLC's Bride Day shows and almost anything on HGTV and Food Network.

love Gallery Girls! It's my guilty pleasure for certain!
I am so glad to hear someone else thinks pretty little liars is scary! My friends tease me but I think its intense! But I love it! The lying game is another good one on abc family.
What? You can pay to watch Season 3 of Downton?? Details please! I'm obsessed with that show. slpreppy@gmail.com.
I love Revenge and was so disappointed last night when it was just a recap. I had it in my head that the premier was last night! What a let down that I have to wait another week. I'm conflicted on Park 666 just because of the religious undertones (I'm not a holy roller but I don't generally like this sort of connotation). We shall see! We started watching Revolution last night. Jury's still out. Downton info please!! :-) Thank you!
Great picks! I love Masterpiece and I am with you - I am not into the Inspector shows but I loved that WWI love story from earlier in the summer. I bet your DVR is as full as mine!
Would love to know the Downton Abbey info. dkozuch@comcast.net
Have a great weekend!
PBS has a new drama, Call the Midwife. It's excellent.
e-mail me your address and I will send you a 'surprise' from Georgetown Cupcake. ;)
