Today, Andrea, Cassie and I hosted a baby shower for our sweet, sweet friend Jessica who is expecting her daughter Victoria in the coming weeks. Since we all love Lilly we decided nothing would be more appropriate than a very feminine pink shower with doses of green. In the end we were able to incorporate all the things we love and made it very Lilly without being too loud.
I put the pink feather wreath I made on the door with Victoria's monogram:
Here is a close-up. Like Friday's printable I used a downloadable print off the Lilly blog and added the circle, dots and letters to create a little monogram sign. I gave the sign to Jessica before she left so that she can use it at the hospital on her door.
From straws and frosted brownies to....
sparkling pink lemonade with limes....there was lots of pink and green!
We used an array of pink and green straws in the drinks to dress them up and make things a little more fun.
Our shower was from 3pm to 5pm so instead of a full meal we opted for a treats, sweets and desserts shower. We did make note of this on our invitation to ensure guests knew to leave room for dessert at lunch.
This worked INCREDIBLY well and was a huge hit all around! It is definitely something I will plan to do from here on out as it looked great, was popular and was not too time consuming.
I thought up a quick menu which Andrea and Cassie thankfully approved of and we went to town with sugar. Andrea ordered a fabulous strawberry cake from Newk's which was the center of the sweets buffet along with our ice cream bar on the opposite side of the table (complete with pink toppings of course!).
Our menu also included a large array of cookies, pink candy and frosted brownie bites. We did have cheese straws out in the living room for those that needed something savory in between trips down sugar lane.
Gifts started to pile up withing minutes of the shower starting! Jessica and Victoria are very blessed!
Since there were lots of gifts to open and people were thoroughly enjoying their food and conversations we opted to only play one game instead of the two we had originally planned. I played a fill-in-the-blank nursery rhyme game at my cousin's shower last Spring and thought it was fun so we went with that:
I spiced the game up and made it a little prettier for our purposes :)
The hostessed with the mother-to-be!
Our favors were of course cookies which I ordered from The FABULOUS Holly of The Doughmestic Housewife. She is simply the best and has never let me down. The pink and green onsies were a HUGE hit and I think will be needed tonight when the guests start to sugar crash!
Again, I used a Lilly background to make Bible verse treat tags for the favors. Gotta love a fun printable here and there!
We had a lovely afternoon celebrating Jessica and cannot wait to meet Victoria later this month!!

Looks so pretty!
Looks so pretty! Hope y'all had tons of fun!!
You can always tell who has money and comes from a family with old taste and class. Casey does not brag on blogs to show off, very down to earth, private elegance. Her family home doesn't try too hard.
I always adore your little party details such as the printables. Just lovely!
Who is Casey?! I am Cassie!
I am so lucky to have Helen, Andrea, and Jessica as my fab friends! You girls are always there for me and I am so grateful for that! Plus, we throw great parties :) xox
What a beautiful home and fun/colorful tablescape! Love it! You are going to already be an expert when you have your own kids. :)
So cute, love it all!
The shower looked lovely and very fun. I like the idea of an ice cream buffet. Sweets are always a hit!
