The town of Americus, GA is a real gem. It is filled with some of the most wonderful people as well as lots of beautiful architecture. I asked my mother to drive me around before we had lunch on Saturday afternoon and could not resist snapping shots of the beautiful homes. It was just beautiful house after beautiful house. You really have to look for a "bad" house in this town! I was almost ready to put in an offer on one of those that was for sale and move back as I just loved the feel of the town and these homes! I hope you all enjoy looking at these lovelies as much as I did!
*All the shots were taken from a moving car so they are not the best quality, but you get the idea!*

Gorgeous! I'm moving to Dallas in about a year, and my dream is to find an older home with a big porch to sit on during the summer. This gives me inspiration!

I'd take any one of those houses. Absolutely gorgeous! Madison, GA is also supposed to be really beautiful, but I've never had a chance to drive through it.
Gorgeous! Reminds me of a little town called Washington, GA ("Washington-Wilkes"), where I lived as a child...beautiful homes & small town friends down each street!
