The Shops at Target

I feel like Target has been building up hype for their new concept "The Shops at Target" for several months now. Having gone to school in Minneapolis I am all about Target (do not fret, I still love WalMart and remain true to my AR roots) and their fun new concepts. The Shops are Target is a collaboration with various companies that will provide us shoppers with limited edition goods. This sounds exactly like their designer collaborations, but the main difference is The Shops are not limited to just one brand. The more the merrier, right?
On May 6th, 2012 the first round of items will hit shelves. From Cos Bar to The Candy Store to The Webster to Polka Dog Bakery to Privet House there is sure to be something for everyone...or in my case numerous items from each line! I was thrilled to see pictures from the various lines on Facebook and certainly have my eye on a handful of goods:

THE WEBSTER SHOP
These sun hats have my name all over them ($15). They are both preppy and practical!

I was not sure I would ever see smocked dresses at Target ($17), but never underestimate the power of the bullseye.
This maxi dress print actually reminds be of an old school Oscar de la Renta print. For $45 I would say it would be a good bang for your buck!

PRIVET HOUSE SHOP (My personal favorite):
White Washed Baskets ($35) would be great by the door or filled with pet toys or firewood. I have one of these from Pottery Barn (it was about three times the price) that is filled with old magazines next to my fireplace.

Journals and Stationery sets ($10 and $13) are also great gifts. These would be a fun thing to send to someone at camp this summer I think.

I am that person that never has anywhere to put my grocery store flowers when I get home. These metal vases ($10 and $15) would be a great solution to my problem. The larger would also make a cute umbrella stand while the smaller would be darling planted with herbs and placed in your kitchen window.

My love for party and entertaining supplies knows know end. How can one resist the greek key and lattice plates and glasses ($3.50 and $4) now that warmer weather has arrived?!

 THE CANDY STORE:

The packaging on these sweets treats is so fun and appealing! I think I might stock up and use them as hostess gifts.

POLKA DOG BAKERY
Target always has a great selection of dog toys (I usually find the best, and cutest, toys in their dollar section) and this collaboration is no different. These whimsical toys ($5) are sure to make dog a happy one!
These bright and preppy dog collars ($6 and $8) are the perfect accessory for my beloved pooches. They need some summer loving too!

Are you not loving all The Shops are Target?! I am now anxiously awaiting for May 6th!

I'm excited for all of The Shops, but the line from Webster looks incredible. I've got at least 4 of the dresses bookmarked!

Thank you for posting this! Since I don't live in the United States, I only hear about Target collaborations from blogs. I adore those smocked dresses. I may need to buy one for TLS's niece. And I love the dinnerware. So fun for a barbecue dinner get together.

That maxi dress certainly is cute. I wonder what size I would get - I feel like at Target I have to size down about three sizes sometimes!!
