Brad at Brooks Brothers

Last week Brad Goreski stopped in Dallas on his book tour. I had read about his fun appearance in DC on The College Prepster and was excited to meet him in my city. Brad just so happened to be signing books at the Brooks Brothers closest to me so of course I could not resist a night of fashion and fun with him!
I LOVE all the decor (as well as the cloths) in Brooks Brothers. They happened to be having a fundraiser for Make-a-Wish last week as well so I believe all the bears that were everywhere benefited that.
The nautical goods give Brooks Brothers that special touch.
Another special touch at the book signing were all the treats Brooks Brothers was serving up. While waiting in line for Brad servers passed mini burgers, crab cakes, lemonade, wine and cookies!
You know I cannot turn down a sweet treat and these were extra, extra sweet. The glasses and bow ties were from Eleni's and perfectly represented Brad.

Of course we had to pose with our cookies while waiting.
What else did I spy while waiting? A copy a True Prep...perfectly situated next to a pair of argyle socks and embroidered seersucker shorts.
After a 30 minute wait Katie, Emily, Lorien and I finally got to meet Brad. He was SO gracious and kind and took the time to talk to each of us individually.
He even stepped out with every attendee for photos!
Brad and I share a love for all things pink ;)
I had such a fantastic time meeting Brad and as soon as I finish Rebecca I am on to "Born to be Brad!"

I LOVE the inscription! The only better one I've seen was when Tim Gunn (worked with my aunt at Liz Claiborne) signed his book for my Grandy and wrote: "Dory - Make it work xx Tim" She almost fell over :)

But he's right - the pink dress is gorge, I love Katie's flowery dress too!!
