Super Bowl Soiree

Seeing as I finally got rid of my miniature TV I was able to host a small Super Bowl party with close friends. The party started at 5:30pm and ended after the half time show (the most critical part of the game for us ladies). On that note, I think it is safe to say none of us loved Madonna's show. She certainly did try very hard, but it just did not do it for us.
Anyway, though the half time show fell short the soiree food certainly did not. Game day food is some of the best there is so I called my party the "Super Bowl Snack Soiree". Each guest was asked to bring their favorite game day snack to share.
We had lots of treats. I made tacquitos and pizza pockets for my savory treats. Southern Vogue brought her famous corn dip; Champagne and Cupcakes brought Bob Armstrong, Life, Love and Lilly brought sausage balls and Cassie brought an avocado caviar. To say we ate until we were stuffed would be an understatement!

We had so many treats we could not fit everything on the table so I set up a sweets and beverage table in the dining area.

I made a "Patriot's Punch" for guests. I mixed frozen raspberry lemonade concentrate with a bottle of ginger ale and voila! It is one of my favorite party beverages to make and always a crowd pleaser.
I downloaded a handful of free Super Bowl printables which I used out and about. My favorite were the straw tags and the cupcake toppers (I cut these out and used these on cups instead of on cupcakes).

Of course every party calls for sweets! I made a half recipe of my Sweet Appetizer and served it with sweet goldfish (WAY better than Teddy Grahams and a fraction of the price); it is ALWAYS a hit!

I also picked up festive frosted brownie bites to add a little umph to the table.

Everyone went home with a red and blue Dylan's candy bar. No party (of mine) is complete without a proper favor!

We had a grand time and just might have to make this an annual tradition!!

What a fun party! You know, I agree about the half time show. I really, really tried to like it, but...somehow it was just boring.

Lurker coming out of the woodwork (I've just re-started my blog after a 2-year hiatus) to say that your parties always look so festive and well-coordinated! I've got the cooking thing down, but not the cute decor and printables! I hope that you all had a wonderful time!

All the best,
TLA

I LOVED Madonna's half time show!!! I only wished it was longer. I think she seemed to be dancing carefully and I was a a HUGE (100++ people party) sop maybe I did not pay close enough attention but I really enjoyed it.

this is the cutest thing I've ever seen! you inspired me to order a 12 pack of Crush (which is a bit more expensive in the UK than @ Target!) for my husband and the kids for a little Valentine's treat! Many thanks and xo!
