Friday Five

Another week has come and gone and February is in full swing! My month has been simply delightful and was only made better last night when I finally met the one and only Muffy Martini; what a dream come true! With Valentine's day and my birthday just around the corner the month continues to be packed with fun too. I hope you have had a delightful week as well and cheers to it being FRIDAY!

The Vow/Screenings

I LOVED this movie; it was so, so, SO good! My only complaint was that it could have been longer. The Vow is a must see in my book!

*Many of you have emailed me about going to screenings of movies. I got on a list for my area about two years ago where I learn about pass pick-ups and screening contests. Many areas offer similar programs of free advance screenings. However, be advised that you might end up waiting in line for hours to see a movie which is not always worth it to me. If there is something I am dying to see (The Help, The Vow) Melissa and I plan accordingly and get there early to ensure we will be admitted.

It is no secret that I am a fan of all things Graphic Image and they are so kind to sponsor so many fabulous reader giveaways too. My iPad case is my most coveted item I have purchased and I am currently eyeing their cozies now.... Graphic Image is hosting their annual SUPER sale with deals galore being added every week. Use the code KAPPA to recieve a special gift with any and every purchase AND 20% off your entire order too!

Macarons

I took a stab at making my very first batch of macarons this week. I plan to do a full how-to post, but wanted to give you a sneak peek of my end result. These were SO much easier to make than I had anticipated and took half as long as I thought they would. If you have been warned about how difficult they are (as I had been by countless people) be reassured that if you follow a good recipe (I think the key is baking them with the oven partially ajar) you will have a delightful sweet treat at the end!

Birthday Headband

I saw these FUN headbands when I was at a local pharmacy this week and fell in LOVE. I researched Fiddlesticks and found out they have a wide array of festive headbands for each and every holiday. I think the birthday headbands have my name written all over them and just in time for the BIG 2-7!

Valentine's Treats

It is time to spoil loved ones with all things PINK and SWEET! I am making a handful of goodies this weekend to hand out with my Crush cans and Minted macaron valentine's, but could not resist picking up a box of pink sweets for Muffy yesterday! Mmm, mmm good and pretty too.

I tried the KAPPA code but it said it wasn't valid. Is it not for sale items?

Thanks for your post on their sale. I wanted the refillable journals for bridesmaids gifts and at over $100 each it was going to be so expensive!

Tried it again with refills in my cart as well and it worked. You must have at least one full price item in your cart to use the Kappa coupon code.

I saw those headbands at a little boutique when I lived in my college town and thought they were adorable! I thought the birthday ones would be cute to have in my classroom! You should definitely get one! Clayton and I thought about going to see the Vow on Valentine's Day! I'm glad you hear it was so good and that you had a wonderful time with Muffy Martini!
