Headband Storage

I wear a headband almost daily and have built up quite the collection over the years. I am pretty careful with my headbands and have little breakage and therefore have lots, maybe even too many...

Anyway, over the years I have looked for different ways to store my growing collection of headbands. I have used headband "pillows" where you line all your headbands up next to one another on said pillow, but I now have too many for this. Then, I tried keeping the collection in a drawer, but I found I only wore the headbands which were always at the top and at the front as I could not see the rest. When I moved I decided I would search for a container to keep my headband collection in. I needed something bigger so as not to bend my lovelies too much and finally came across the perfect flour container at Target:

I was able to fit my entire collection, minus one (the paisley you see sitting next to the container), into the container and I can still see everything too.
This has proved to be the perfect solution for my headband storage problem and provides quite the eye candy in my bathroom as well. All around this is a winner that is fairly inexpensive (around $12 I believe) I would highly recommend to all those in search of the perfect headband storage solution.

Good thinking! I have a TON of headbands and have tried many different ways of keeping them. I love the way this looks and I think I may even have one of those kind of jars in my garage.

How original!! Have you ever tried displaying them in a fishbowl-type vase, a la J.Crew?

What a great idea!! I have tried SO many different ways of organizing my headbands and none of them were that great.. My Mom even made me one covering a roll of paper towels in felt.. super cute, but not practical! I will have to try out your idea!! Thanks for sharing!!

Those large glass containers are handy for storing so many things in a decorative way. I would've never thought to put headbands in them!

Great idea and so pretty too! I've been having the same issue with my headbands lately. I keep mine in a drawer but then I only see the ones that are on top.

That's such a great idea for headband storage. I'm afraid that I always end up just shoving them in a drawer.

If you had a similar jar but with a smaller circumference, you could line your bands around the outside of the jar. You'd get the same look but not have to dig through the jar to get the headband on the bottom.

Omg, I had to come back and tell you that after reading this post yesterday, I dreamt about your headbands last night lol! I dreamt your mailed me one if them after I commented on liking it. And, all I remember was that it was khaki colored with bows. Too funny...XXOO

How cute is this! I use these jars in our craft room...makes for a very pretty visual display. Would love to find a plastic version for my daughters room for her headbands and clips.

Thank you for sharing your creativity with this post!! This is fantastic. You should see my current headband storage situation…yikes. I've tried hooks, drawers, drop-down belt hangers, slinging them over my towel rack…you name it. But this is truly a great idea, and they really don't look too cluttered like I would think they'd do. But one question: when you want to reach one at the bottom of the jar, does it end up turning into Headband Hell? eek!

So today I have been trying to figure out a better way to store my headbands and I found this post again. I was wondering what size jar are you using? I want to order a similar one off Amazon but want to make sure that it's going to fit all of mine first.
