Let Them Eat....Macarons!

In honor of it being Bastille Day we are going to Paris tonight to enjoy some of my favorite things! So grab your best outfit and your tres chic scarf and let's hop on the jet and well, jet set!

We will enjoy an early lunch and dessert at Laduree. I will have the Laduree Club, a pot of caramel tea and the passion fruit and raspberry tart. Of course we will not leave empty handed...boxes of macarons will be making their way out with us!

We will stroll along the Seine and pop wave to the gargoyles atop Note Dame. Perhaps we can even run into Shakespeare and Company.

After a quick run into the Louve it is time to hit a rue, Rue St. Honore of course!

Let's start down by the Ritz so we can end at Hermes. Does that sound like a plan? Of course when in Hermes we will be certain to ask for the latest "How to Tie A Scarf" booklet and perhaps if we are extra chic and behave they might even take us into their musee!

Of course before we hop back on the plane we need another treat (we have to save those macarons for the plane ride home) so off to Poilane we go. No day in Paris is complete without a pain au chocolate from the famous bakery!

If only life were this easy. I will only be going to Paris in my dreams tonight, but a VERY happy Bastille day none-the-less!

*What are some of your favorite places in Paris?*

Last time I was in Paris I had the opportunity to go to Disney Land Paris! It was amazing. Not as big as Disney World but so charming and it was interesting to see which things are different! I was actually there last year for Bastille Day!

Aw, this makes me so very homesick! I spent four years living in Belgium, which is just a short train ride from Paris, when I was a girl. I miss everything: the history, the language, and the chocolate!
Love your blog, and LOVE this post!

Last time I was in London I went to a pastry shop that was based in Paris. We (my husband and I) bought these wonderful cookies and some cake. The cake we actually never were able to taste. My brother's boys were of an age where the cake got them to settle down. (One of my brother's is married to a girl from Greece and they live in London and they have two young sons who are now 12 and 10). The cookies were macaroons and just wonderful and light.

My favorite place in Paris is the Musee d'Orsay. I know it is somewhat cheesy, but I love the little cafe inside at the top where you can see the clock!

I have not been to Paris since I was 14 so I don't really remember what my favorite places were, but your post certainly made me want to return soon! Have a wonderful weekend :)

I was in Paris for Bastille Day! However, I did not attempt the Eiffel Tower. We were on our way there that afternoon when the police started blocking off the streets. It was seriously crowded at Versailles yesterday....but I don't think a trip to Paris is complete with out seeing the palace and of course, Notre Dame. I wish I had picked up some macaroons for the train ride, though! Have a great weekend : )

Ahh! I love Paris- each and every visit I fall more in love. In my opinion, the very best view in the entirety of Paris is from the top of the Pompidou, but one of the coolest places to visit (as a KY girl) is the Longchamp race course!

My favorite place in Paris is Angelinas. The african hot chocolate is to die for! I also simply adore the ambiance of the place and I love the history (Coco Chanel's favorite hot chocolate). I love everything about Paris it is such an enchanting place!
