LC

This summer I admit I was not just excited, but elated, to read that the Lauren Conrad would be visiting Dallas on her Fall book tour. I was an avid Laguna Beach fan and then followed LC as she moved to LA and starred on The Hills. I do have to say that Lo is my very favorite (she is a fellow Kappa and Art History major!), but without Lauren I would never have known about Lo, right? I knew I wanted to meet LC while she was in Dallas so I called Borders and got the 411 on the book signing.
Since the store was expecting so many fans (who knew we all loved LC this much?!) they decided to hand out wristbands to note when you could have your book signed. So, I hightailed it to Borders the morning of the book signing and was very happy to be the recipient of a blue band which meant I was part of group one!
However, I was not so happy to find out that Lauren was not posing for photos (thank you to Southern Vogue for these two snapshots and for filling me on this dreadful news) or personalizing books. It must be hard to be so famous and have so many fans....alas something I will, thankfully, never understand.
However, I still had a wonderful chat with LC- she loved my big pearls and my name (that was not written in my book...)...perhaps she too has a preppy side!? All in all, even though I left with no photo or personalized book, LC did not disappoint. She was so kind and very pretty too. Hightailing to Border's was most certainly worth it!Now, next on my must-meet book tour list: Ina Garten (and then hopefully Ms. Lo!)!!!

You are speakin' my language ... LUV Lo, LC and Ina! I'm glad I'm not the only college graduate that loves those gals. :)

I could be wrong, but I thought I heard somewhere that Lo was writing some kind of book? If she does then you can meet her :-)

I, too, love Ina! She was in mt area a week or so ago at Williams-Sonoma but I couldn't get out of work from 12-2 to see her. But that being said, WS said people started lining up to see Ina at 10 am and they had over 500 people there and some didn't get to meet her since she had to leave for her next book signing.
I hope you get a chance to meet her; I hear she is lovely to meet in person.

My friend and I went to her book signing when she came through Memphis last year and she couldn't pose for photos or personalize either because there were SO MANY people there.

How fun! Love your dress, btw. Is that a Lilly, too? I, too, would love to meet Ina. Her new cookbook is on my Christmas list. :)

Alas, I am NOT Lauren Conrad, BUT I will be doing several booksignings in several Dallas area Borders after the New Year. I promise to not only pose for pictures, but to also personalize it!

I love LC. Her style is impeccable and women with all styles can look to her for style advice!

She looks really pretty with that darker berry colored lipstick on. Not an easy shade to pull off! I love your large pearls too, Hopsy. So chic.

Love your outfit--good for you for snagging a "first group" bracelet.

Could you do a book review after you've read it??
