All That Glitters

Tis the Season for parties! The festivities begin this week here in Dallas. This weekend I am going to a white tie affair and am planning to wear this:
I love anything that sparkles and I think glittery are even more perfect for the holidays! My current biggest concern is the fit of the dress; it still has yet to arrive to here is to hoping I will not need to find a back up (because I have not even looked)! I am also still debating what necklace (if any) and earrings I should wear and than of course how to do my hair. I am thinking an updo, but clearly I am being incredibly indecisive. Thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated!
Happy Monday!!!

That's gorgeous. I would do an updo, skip the necklace and wear some chandelier earrings.

My goodness! I hope you are going to share pics! Where oh where did you find this fabulous dress? I don't think you need a necklace since this dress has all of the sparkle in the world! You definitely want to wear your hair up as the others suggested! WOW

What Amy said! Updo, chandelier earrings, bare neck. Perfection!! You MUST post a photo or two!

Oh, that is a beautiful dress! I think your hair would look pretty either up or down with no neckalce and classic earrings. Enjoy!

You'll look fabulous in all that glitter! Updo with perhaps a piece of jewelry in the back of your hair (Think Jackie O.) and a touch of "glitter" on your ears.

What a beautiful dress! I would skip the necklace with this one, too, and definitely go for a simple updo. No need for anything elaborate with such a festive gown. Have fun!

Another one voting for what Amy says:). You will look beautiful. Whose dress is it?

Beautiful! I think big earrings and an updo would look fabulous! Or hair down with a long necklace could be chic and different.

Gorgeous dress! Have you considered emeralds/green as the complementary color for gold? Green and gold always seem so regal to me.

My other thought...if you go with the updo, potentially a more "loose" option, as severe lines and minimal jewelry could look harsh. Just my 2 cents!

Enjoy your night!

That dress is beyond amazing! I'm sure it will look great on you!

An updo, no necklace and some dangle earrings would look very elegant. You don't need too much jewelry, the dress alone is a statement. Good Luck and Enjoy!

Gorgeous dress!! You will look amazing! I agree with Erin, that's why I would not do an updo. I would do something similar to Cameron Diaz at this years Oscars or Sandra Oh when she wore that stunning Marchesa gown at the Emmys. I agree with skipping the necklace. I can't wait to see what you decide! Enjoy your night!

what a gorgeous gold & glittery gown!
no doubt, you will look amazing.
mother always said an updo calls for long sparkly earrings -- i'd go without the necklace.
have fun -- post pix please!

Chignon, with an elegant comb, and matching, understated necklace and earrings....

You will knock Prince Charming off of his feet!

Ahhhh! So romantic! I am starry-eyed at the thought!

Gorgeous dress! Although I hope yours doesn't drag like it does in the photo, it looks very sloppy. I agree with an updo, green chandelier earrings, a simple gold bracelet and of course gold shoes with a killer heel. Please post pictures.

Love it! I'm sure that you'll look gorgeous! I'd skip the necklace and do some long earrings but I'm sure whatever you choose will be elegant.

The dress is amazing and you will look beautiful in it! I'd wear your hair back, with minimal jewelry. I can't stop drooling...where is the dress from??

I am a new blogger but I just wanted to say that your dress is absolutely gorgeous!!! I would definitely do an up-do, but it ultimately depends on how the back of the dress is cut. I would also wear a simple pair of pearls, just not to go overboard with the sparkle, plus they are always a safe bet! No necklace necessary, maybe a simple bracelet.
ps. love your blog!!

H!
Gorgeous dress. I would go modest with jewelry. I would not do a necklace with that neckline, personally. Something not sparkly and simple like pearl studs or a gold monogrammed bracelet would be nice. I would keep hair simple. I would wear it up since it is white tie.
