The first of every month is a big day here in Dallas. Not only do we get the chance to start anew but the new issue of Paper City hits stands! Paper City is a social paper with all the latest and greatest news on events and happenings around the city. While I enjoy all the fabulous photos and write-ups every month I think the August 2010 issue tops my list! This month is all about "back to (old) school" and preps! There is a "Back to Boarding School" article highlighting the latest and greatest prep clothing must-haves and of course a list of the preppiest staples that never go out of style. So straight from the pages of Paper City I bring you:
Old School 101 Some things will never, ever go out of style. Herewith, those things.

Who knew I was so old school? ;) Thank you for sharing-- this post warmed my heart. It feels good to be old school! HAHA!
I've never seen the movie Love Story. Maybe I will have to!
Hi! I just posted about this last night!!! I picked up 3 copies of papercity just because I love it so much! Let's get together soon?
Lester Lanin played at my wedding!

I love LOVE STORY. I am obsessed with the way she wears riding boots!
What a fun list! You can't go wrong with the classics, right?
Great and fun list... However I am miffed... where is my Newport? One can't get more old school than that... Gloria Vanderbilt made the list but her ancestral summer home did not? Ancestral homes to Duke, Astor, Hutton, et all? Their list is incomplete, I tell you!!
Rescue Dog... Lester Lanin played at my wedding too! In Newport!!!! Can you tell I'm sore about this?! LOL
WOW! This brings back memories :-)
Love that my family and I have never gone out of style...
What a fun list! Thanks for sharing the article!
Love this!! Thanks so much for posting!! :)
I have that EXACT Skotch cooler! I live in Houston, so I must rush and get a copy of Paper City. Thanks Hopsy!
I am cracking up because my husband went to Pooh Corner and St. John's, my daughter is already on the list for Pooh Corner and Mystic, and I just put her in bed wearing whale pajamas.
I love this list. And the collage is just great! xoxo
Fun! Thanks for sharing :)
Great list! I recall lots of hotties over at Episcopal H.S. --- oh, to be back at boarding school!
Such a happy list!
What? No Brooks Brothers?? For shame...and what about Talbots?
Love the post! Also happy to see Weejuns on there.... maybe Bass will consider bringing them back for girls. I've searched EVERYWHERE for a decent pair of penny loafers for my daughter!
