Let the Celebrations Begin!

It is hard to believe that it was just two years ago that I sat in bed reading blogs. I stumbled upon my first via Google and immediately got sucked in to this wonderful world! After about a month of reading I started contemplating starting my own. So, on March 31st, 2008 I took the plunge and Monograms and Manicures was born.... I will continue reminiscing on my actual anniversary so that we can CELEBRATE now!
I thought long and hard about the perfect giveaway prize and after reviewing some posts, consulting friends and knowing that Spring was indeed in the air I decided a Lilly Pulitzer Roslyn skirt was the perfect fit!
Now, I do not know about you, but I sure LOVE great fitting and well made clothing. The Lilly Pulitzer Roslyn is my new go-to skirt. It is the perfect length AND the perfect fit (a hard combination to come by). I simply ADORE the prints and the weight of the fabric too. I have worn several of mine with long sleeve white tops in India and have also tucked in a polo and thrown a Tory Burch Simone over for a more tailored look. You cannot go wrong with a Roslyn and they are certainly a staple in my wardrobe!
Don't you want to get your hand on one of these beauties!?
The winner of this celebration giveaway will get to choose their favorite Roslyn as a prize (let me tell you, it is HARD to choose just one!)!! Here are the rules:
To enter you MUST leave a comment on THIS post. The giveaway begins NOW and will end 10pm EST on Tuesday, March 30th, 2010. Your comment MUST include a suggestion for a future post- what would you LOVE to see and read about on Monograms and Manicures- to be eligible to win (all other comments will be removed). All Facebook fans can receive a second entry. If you are a Monograms and Manicures Facebook be sure to leave a SEPARATE comment stating this.
Good luck to all!!

Wow! This has to be the best giveaway ever! I was just thinking not long ago that I miss your art history posts that you once did. I'd love to read those now and again. Or fashion faux pas. I mean, not everyone should be wearing leggings and skinny jeans. Different styles flatter differnt body shapes. Maybe do this but with current Lilly styles? I know I have the worst time finding Lilly dresses to fit my overly "blessed" chest.

Hopsy, I'm one of your 'older' readers and you are one of the first I read every morning. I also love your mothers blog as well.

I'd like for you to blog about how you keep your 'focus' on preppy/wasp-y syle in a city/state that is known for 'all-glamour-all the time.' Are you ever tempted to stray away from the preppy look?

I love the classics and my wardrobe consists mostly of Brooks Brothers, Talbots, and Lilly as well as pieces of Neiman's. But I find when I visit Texas I always feel very frumpy. Do you experience this? I think that's the main thing I've always wondered...I really hope you do a post on this!

Those skirts are DARLING!! I would love to know more about your beautiful mother.

Another thing I'm interested in is how you handled the weather in Minnesota. I just moved from Minneapolis (where I was an advisor for the Pi Beta Phi's) to Columbus, OH and I think it's amazing that you went to the University of MN. That cold weather must have been dreadful for a lady with such great Lilly style.

I am a reader of only two weeks...and I'm already hooked! I'm afraid my boss is going to peak over my shoulder while I'm checking out your fun posts!

I graduated from school nearly a year ago (eek!), and am living at home. I've found that while I'm saving money to move out, there are still a few "necessary luxuries," that help me get through my day.

I would love a post about your necessary luxuries, your must-haves regardless of the situation!

Thanks for a fun fun blog and for yet another distraction at work!

Happy Blog-Anniversary. You seem like such a giving and generous person, especially with this giveaway. I must say the panda bear print is one of my favorites. I think it would be interesting to read about how you come up with party ideas and where you get your recipes; do you make them up or do you use a cookbook, if so what are your favs?
