As mentioned, the March 2010 month's issue of House Beautiful was wonderful! I earmarked a number of pages and was going to scan in the ginger jar decor when I again stumbled upon a darling tray table.
Now, when I read where it was from (Kmart) I have to admit I was a tad surprised. I have not been to a Kmart in almost a decade and I had a very negative experience when I was last there. However, I do have to say I LOVED their Martha Stewart line so I suppose I should not be too shocked that they now have a Country Living line. This darling accent piece is part of the Country Living Line and the table is a mere $70! If I had a place to put this I would snatch it right up. I am thinking it would look wonderful in a lime green or navy blue lacquer. Thoughts?!

I feel you on the whole K-Mart thing... Although, the Country Living aspect gives it a bit of a different image though. I think your idea of this item in navy lacquer would be lovely!
How funny Hopsy! I just did a post on this table Friday! I actually bought it, and it looks wonderful in my dining room! I saw it in House Beauiful too, and rushed to K-Mart to get it!

I love the detailing on the sides of the table top!!!! I'm thinking it might be one of those items that is good to pick up just incase you have a use for it someday in the future!!!

Do they still have K-Marts in Texas? My mom always visits the one where I live since the ones in Fort Worth closed several years ago.
I have a love/hate relationship with Kmart. I love the fact that no one shops there, and they have the Martha Stewart line. Other than that, forget it, they always seem a bit dingy.
I want several of them! Now!! And I bet they're sold out! Yes, blue or lime green would be stunning!!

That table is so cute- I saw it in the magazine, too, but then K Mart,totally icky. I think they closed alot of them here in NY. (Oddly enough there is one giant store in Bridgehampton, LI)The lines of it are great..I think it would be darling painted lime or navy or even topped with Lilly wrapping paper then, a piece of glass cut to fit over it for your closet....to hold accessories of the day a la Miss Janice.

I'm thinking like you, Black Labs and Lilly - bought it but don't know exactly where it will go. I saw this on another blog about a month ago and ordered it immediately. Love it and can hardly believe it came from KMart!

I saw this tray too and was shocked when I read "K-Mart." I honestly had to read it a few times before I believed it. It would be adorable in navy!

I saw that and tore out the page! I haven't been to KMart either, but probably because there just aren't any open around here anymore...
