Tonight we hosted our OSCAR party! We have been working on all the details throughout the week and tonight was finally the BIG night...and what a HUGE night it was for us and everyone in the Kodak Theater!
The entrance was ready to greet all our "stars."
Lights....Camera....Action!!!
I used popcorn containers wherever possible! Here they are holding our "gold" flatware.
Hollywood fans/clappers. These came in handy when all our favorites WON! I also printed out ballots which all five guests had to fill out as soon as they came in. The winner of this evening's ballot contest won a one month subscription to Netflix!
Mmm, one of our munchies! BFF L was also kind enough to bring another fabulous dip!It was complete with photos of some or our favorite celebrity nominees!
The concession candy was quite the hit!
No Hollywood party is complete without your very own popcorn bar. My flavors of choice were movie theater butter, kettle corn and of course, CARAMEL!

I simply had the best time and cannot wait to make this an annual event!

How fun! What fabulous ideas. I went to an Oscar party a few years back and had a blast. You've inspired me to try one of my own next year. Thanks for sharing.

You r too cute. Just perfect.
Very cute and clever. :) xoxo
So cute! We also had our annual Oscars get-together with our favorite movie-going family last night. My weekend did not lend itself to a lot of creative preparations, though, so our decorations were limited to some gold streamers over the doorway and "red carpet" (red vinyl tablecloth) on the front sidewalk. My menu was good, but completely unrelated to the movies. Next year, I'm taking inspiration from you!
love it! I've heard of people doing this and having girls wear old prom or bridesmaid dresses!
Looks like a ball! I hope you all had fun. Did you notice they said "And the winner is" this year?
What cute decorations! I am sure y'all had a great time!
Such a cute party. All those details really add to the sense of festivity.

Tres fabulous!!!
Fabulous decorations! Looks like it was a wonderful party! You are lucky to have the Oscars air earlier in your area (I was in bed before they ended here on the east coast!), it makes having a party so much better!
What a fun party. I love that Sandra Bullock won for The Blind Side...I loved that movie.
