Phew, after a short blogging vacation I am back! The end of last week and beginning of this week were BEYOND busy, but I am thrilled to report I had an AMAZING birthday. I was showered with gifts (I promise to do a post on these as I obsessed with EVERY.SINGLE.ONE!)and all your beautiful comments. I could not have had a better day, thank you!
I extended my weekend by a day and took Monday off to fly down to Austin. I met M through our blogs over a year ago and we have become fast friends. When I found out she was going to be in Austin I knew I had to fly down and meet her! We had the BEST time and I feel as if we were long lost friends.
We enjoyed lunch at Bess's Bistro, which Sandra Bullock owns (sadly, we did not see her) then walked around downtown Austin before heading out to The Domain. We did some shopping and then headed back to The Four Seasons for a FABULOUS tea!
It was just delicious and the perfect way to end an AMAZING day and weekend!
I feel SO blessed to have met so many AMAZING ladies through this blogging world. I consider SO many of you dear friends and look forward meeting many more of you in years to come!

Sounds like you had an amazing birthday and what fun to meet a blogging friend in Austin. I have met one of my blogging friends so far and it was so neat to meet in person. The funny thing was knowing all about the person, but never having met them in real life! Enjoy your weekend. Love & blessings from NC!

The first time I ever had afternoon tea was in TX with my friend and I have been hooked ever since! Sounds like a wonderful meet up.

I love tea! During our babymoon, I had tea and scones twice. It was perfect.

PS- you were at my old stomping grounds for tea- in college we trained on Town Lake (as did the U of M guys) for spring training out of Austin Rowing Club- right behind it :)
