It can look lovely if done right on trees and it can spice up a package or even work for a costume, but my favorite form of tinsel is the headband form!!
Since high school I have owned a green tinsel headband with red bells. I wear it every now and then during the month of December and have not gone without it on Christmas Eve (2008 pictured above) since goodness knows when. While it may seem juvenile my tinsel headband is a staple in my wardrobe and I always get compliments when wearing it. I can use it at a topper for a Christmas costume party or add some spice to an already classic outfit. It never lets me down! I am thinking this year it might be time to invest in a red tinsel headband too!!

I love to include a bit of holiday sparkle in my outfits this time of year. I'm especially fond of pinning a brooch onto a hat.
