Let Them Eat Cake!

Let the baking begin!
With Halloween having come and gone I cannot do anything but think about baking! It seems as if Fall is a season full of cakes, pies, cupcakes, cookies and anything else that can easily be whipped up, put in the oven then decorated. I love to bake, but have yet to find the perfect way to display by final products. I am thinking a fun cake stand like any of those seen below needs to be added to the list!
Martha Stewart for Macy's (on sale for $22)
I love the clean lines of this stand. It can be mixed and matched with any china pattern and used all year long.

Country Kitchen SweetArt ($29.70)

Of course this one is too darling to pass up! The pink would be a fun pop of color. Oh, and just imagine it topped with frosted green cupcakes of shift cookies- delightfully preppy!

Layla Grace, Set of Three ($150)

This set is just wonderful because you get various sizes that all match! The ribbon could easily be switched out if your heart so desired too.

The Merry Martini ($45)

This is available as either a square stand or round sound. If you read the tiny print you can see that the square can be flipped over and used as a chip and dip! I love that you can switch out the ribbon on this as well. I would change it from season to season, but always keep some blue on hand to match my Blue Canton!

I have always loved the ribbon cake stands, but I know Clay would just get icing all over them every two minutes. We have a glass one that barely stays neat looking when we have a cake on the table.

Oh my- I am SO happy you posted on this because I have been looking for a cake stand forever! I love that Layla Grace one! I think I will head over to Macy's site now to see if I can still get that Martha one though. Thank you XOXO

Love the ribbon one! I have that first one on my wedding registry list. It's Crate and Barrell

That is a tough call - the simple white will showcase your baked goods and let them take center stage, but I personally have one of the ribbon plates and they are just plain fun - and very versatile.

I love them all, but the ones with the ribbons are my favorite.

I have a set of the ribbon stands and sometimes even use them without the ribbon and they have a more serious look. Of course, ribbon is my usual favorite! I have had them for years and use them for my daughter's birthday parties, changing the ribbon with her style as she has gotten older. I Started out with black and pink polka dot at 7, now we are doing more of a lace, floral Shabby Chic style for 13.

just darling and I'm in the same spot as you Hopsy! I've got my eyes peeled for a Jadeite cake stand- Love Jadeite, that frosty and creamy green is heaven!

I love the look of a cake stand with a glass cloche over it. I wouldn't get one without the other. Wisteria.com had some during the summer.

I think Fall and Winter are the best times of year for baking! I've already whipped up several treats in our household!

I'm obsessed with cake stands!! I just love how delicate they look (even empty) and how they can height to tablescapes. I love the set of three, too darling!

I have a Martha Stewart one from Macy*s with a scalloped edge. It's probably my favorite thing ever. Although, the ribboned one you showed is lovely, too...

I've been looking for a cute cake stand too! I love the one from Macy's, and I think I'll have to look for it next time that I'm there.
