Biggest Shopping Day of the Year

For years I have begged to go shopping on Black Friday. Mother always denied this plea and now I finally understand why. This year was the first year I could have gotten up at 4am and sped over to Target, WalMart and Best Buy, but as soon as I turned the news on and saw the lines last night I had ZERO desire. Now, all the power to those who love to get up early and get the adrenaline running, but I just personally prefer to not be rushed when shopping. However, even though I decided to stay home I got some AMAZING deals on items I have been wanting...and all from the comfort of my pink toile bed (you cannot beat that!)!
You remember this one I am sure, I have been eyeing it for a good two months!

I got the same cardigan for Mother today!! I used to work in retail for both Macy's and Lord and Taylor and I have had enough of Black Friday to last me a lifetime. Shopping from the comfort of your own home is the way to go.

Love that cardigan! I have never braved the stores on Black Friday, shopping online is a good idea!

Oh I'm with you. I didn't want to be anywhere near the malls or shopping today. I have no patience for crowded parking lots, etc..Don't get me wrong I love to shop and find a bargain as much as the next person, but I'm all about drawing out the pleasure of shopping during the entire Christmas season and not trying to blow through it in one "Black Friday".

I DID battle Target today at 5:30 to get my oldest the new IPod Nano. Guess what I got in return for my hour in line?!?! A $25 giftcard! So all was not lost... I guess :)

A cardigan with my name must be fab. This is the first year I've done it and all the shoppers were probably wondering why at 4am I was so chipper.Glad you got great bargains.

Looks like you were ahead of the curve - I braved the shops, only to turn up with a pair of shoes & khakis for my husband! It doesn't seem fair!
Happy Thanksgiving - & congratulations on your fantastic finds!

Love your cardigan! I used to be upset too about my family not wanting to go shopping on Black Friday. But we were always celebrating Thanksgiving with family in the country where there were zero shops! Now that I can do it, I have no desire. I like to shop during the week in the middle of the day when its nice and quiet. Or online is a wonderful option!

This is the first year I did not get up and brave the crowds on Black Friday. It is so nice to know someone else who stayed home. I went out on Wednesday and bought everything I wanted so it wouldn't be snapped up by the shoppers on Friday. I then sat home and purchased on the internet just like you. I got a great Kate Spade top on sale while still in my nightgown!!! This is the life!

I'm not a fan of the frenzy that ensues on Black Friday either. There are bargains to be found online. :)
