Short Recap

I hope everyone had a fabulous day celebrating America on Saturday! I spent my day at the lake (photos to come) which was nothing short of wonderful. We were in the water, on the banana, on the porch eating, in the boat and on the dock watching fireworks- it was the perfect Independence day!
Yesterday was another busy day . Did you all catch Wimbledon? What an intense match!! I watched a few minutes before heading off to Lilly for the afternoon. I had not been in the store for over a month since I was out of town- gasp! I practiced self restraint and only bought two items, one of which is featured below.
I never thought I would like this color on me or the style, but it is just darling so it could not be passed up! I am thinking I might wear it on my getaway this weekend. I have my Set in Stone sandal which look perfect with it (these are my summer shoes, I am obsessed, buy a pair and you will be too!) and perhaps I will carry my Mizner clutch. I will be all set for dinner! Not only did I enjoy Lilly and a spiced orange tea from NM while at NorthPark, but I also met a darling blog reader AND found out Henri Bendel is opening in NP this fall! I am beyond excited and am so thrilled it is just a few stores around the bend from Lilly. I love Bendels and always find the cutest items there. Last fall when in NYC I stocked up on the cutest gifts and swap items on 5th...I think I might see a swap in my near future, stay tuned!
Have a fabulous Monday and enjoy this beautiful summer weather!

Precious dress! I think we often overlook yellows in fashion. It really can be a winner with the right skin and hair. I'm sure you look simply adorable in it!

Glad you are back on native soil. I want to hear about EVERYTHING you bought while in India and the UK. Hope to hear from you soon!

PS-My friend was back in Dallas this weekend-at some lake too. I need to find out which one she was at. No clue how many lakes there are in the area but maybe you guys met ;)

Cute, cute purchases Miss Kappa Prep, especially the dress.

We're also getting a Bendel's in the nearby Large City, but they're changing the merchandise mix somewhat so we're not sure how much time we'll be spending there.

And NorthPark, such a wonderful spot, honestly. Sigh.

Smiles,
tp

It says on the website that this dress runs large and to purchase 1-2 sizes smaller than normal. What was your experience, Hopsy? I want to buy it but not sure what size I should order! Thanks!
