Time to Celebrate!

LIFE, LILLY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS!

After an AMAZING morning at the Martha studio we headed to the town house with the rest of the audience for the VIP after party! Just when I thought the day could not get better CEO Scott and Lilly Pulitzer Marlee got on our bus with snack packs and crowns! We slowly made our way Uptown and were greeted by champagne, pink and green cupcakes, mint mojitos (just like Martha featured!), pizza and mini gourmet burgers! Mother and I immediately headed upstairs to get our McKims and check out all the fabulous dresses we missed the night before.
We ran into AGH and Kate in the McKim line and I just had to get some more photos! They are both so sweet and as I said before, it was such a treat to meet them!
I saw Cancer Sucks Even With Lilly on Your Side, but was unable to get over to her in time. However, I was thinking of you CSEWLOYS!! We also ran into Becca, Lilly and their mothers again as well as CEO Scott!
We had chatted it up with CEO Scott on the bus, but I wanted to capture the moment and take a photo to share with you all too. Isn't the pink suit fabulous? CEO Scott told us when he takes his suit to the dry cleaner they often comment how kind it is of him to bring his wife's dry cleaning in, ha! Mother shared her idea of Lilly partnering with St. John's and having an exclusive line one season and I made sure to tell him that Lilly needs to jump on the work out train! Lilly used to make spandex/leggings in the late 90's (I actually had the CUTEST pink, green and orange pair that are now MIA!) and I think it it time they bring these back. Only time shall tell I suppose...
After lots of photos mother grabbed a dress and some napkins before we made our way towards the front of the store. Mother was kind enough to take a photo of me in front of the print window which I plan to use for my Easter cards. I am sure you will laugh at this, but I am sending out photo cards for Easter/Spring this year (they are like Christmas cards, just at a different time) and I think the first photo in this post will be fabulous on these! I loved that the design team was in the window and I just wish I had known you could get a print. You cannot have it all at the end of the day though! I suppose I will have to live through MelLilly as she was lucky and got her hands on a personalized print.
Finally, the time came to step out of pink and green heaven. We said goodbye to fellow bloggers and dear readers like Laura before making our way over to Lilly Pulitzer Ro, Bridget and Emilie (and hubby) and we were off. Tear, tear, tear!
Our Lilly filled NYC trip was perfect in EVERY way. Nothing could have gone any better and even father said we were two VERY lucky ladies. Each hour was more fantastic than the one before. I saw old friends and met SO many wonderful, Lilly loving, new ones. I met people I never once thought I would cross paths with, I was on Live TV, I hosted an event at the famed town house and celebrated Lilly's 50th birthday! I still have a permanent smile on my face and cannot wait for my next Lilly adventure. Viva la Lilly P!!

I am so envious of your adventure! As much as I love high fashion, Lilly P stays close to my heart--especially in the summertime!
I love your outfit and the CEO's pink suit is sooo adorable.

I love the idea of Lilly partnering with St. John's.

I'd also love to see Lilly partner with Dr. Scholl's sandals - brightly colored sandals for the summertime.

Dear Helen, I'm so happy we finally met! I too wish we could have gotten to chat for longer, as it seems there was so much pink & green & lilly love and not enough time! But I agree with you nonetheless, the entire day was magical. I can't believe you got to chat with the CEO! Thanks for putting in your two cents about Lilly Gymwear - we need it back! I keep wearing my old Lilly tennis skirts and dress circa 2003, but we need something fresh :)
I would love to meet your friend Ashley sometime, and a playdate in NYC this summer sounds fabulous. If you ever wish to rendezvous in Washington, you have an open invitation from me. It's not New York, but we do have fantastic restaurants, museums, cupcakeries, and shopping! I'll post more pictures soon, but in the meantime have a fabulous friday! xoxo

I'm glad you had THE BEST time...so did I. What wonderful memories! Sorry we didn't meet this time. I'll be in Dallas end of April so maybe then or the next warehouse sale. Take care! And prayers for Henry, too.

Are we going to have to arm wrestle over Scott?! I have my pic with him to post about, too. Too funny!
