I have had the hardest time getting cute ringtones for my Blackberry. For some off reason you cannot buy ringtones like you can a normal phone on my Verizon BB; very odd indeed. Over Christmas I uploaded songs, but the song has to be a certain size and I only had a handful that fell under the limit and they were all holiday themed. Apparently, the BB program used to have a way to make ringtones, but that no longer exists (I did MAJOR research on this) and of course you cannot upload anything from iTunes (at least not to my knowledge). Obviously this had become an issue so I took it upon myself to do some research and I came out a winner!
I found this extremely informative Blackberry site, BBGeeks. Not only does this site cover all the bases on anything and everything Blackberry related, but they have an entire page dedicated to Blackberry ringtones! I intended to learn how to make a ring tone, however I ended up being lead to an amazing and easy to use ringtone site: TuneUsIn. Oh, and the best part is that the ringtones on this site are free!! They have a number of categories and a great selection of songs both old and new. You can download the songs to your desktop and then upload them to you device and you are all set to go! BBGeek did major research on ringtone sites and apparently this is the one to use. It is easy to navigate and you do not have to sift through pages and pages trying to find a song you sort of like. Now, I assume this is legal, but am by no means positive. BBGeeks lists another site that you can use which is similar to Limewire so I just assumed I best go with TuneUsIn. However, the internet is full of some good, but even more bad so again I am not certain. I just wanted to pass on the information assuming that it might be okay. Hopefully, one of you will find it useful and you can add some sound flair to your accessory of choice!

Thanks for letting us know! I am so tired of my boring ringtone!
Thanks for sharing this! I've had a boring ringtone on my BB since I got it last year and I'd love a more fun one.
Thanks for the information! The ringtone issue was the only thing I didn't love about my BB.
If I ever go back to a BB I will be sure to use this info. I am a dork I returned mine in the 30 day window. LOL!! It was too much tech for this little prep!
I can never figure out how to download ringtunes, so I've never changed mine. I may have to go and try this site out!
I am SO glad you did all that research on the BB ringtone problem because it was bugging me so much that I couldn't get any cool ringtones on mine. Thanks so much for telling us about those sites!
No blackberry for me. I am waiting (albeit impatiently) to be able to purchase an iphone.
Thanks for popping over the other day. :) The crayon hearts went over quite well with my sons classes. (phew)
Thanks for posting this. I got the BB Bold and I couldn't figure out how to download ringtones. It was driving me insane. I am going to go to this site and try it out!
I saw on my blog that you left a comment about meeting each other. I would love to meet you:)
I just got a blackberry curve and was having the same problem. I use myxertones.com there you can upload your own songs, create them, then send them to your phone. This way your not limited to just what songs are on the website. The possibilities are endless! lol
I use an IPhone- so I groove out to Brown Eyed Girl off of my Itunes as a ringer... but this is so helpful for bb users!! Also, you have to share... what ringtone did you pick?! :)
Awesome find! Thanks for sharing!!
Have you tried Mobile17.com?
You can upload a song and select the section of the song that you want to use.
This may be a bit technical, but you can also make your own if you have a mac and garageband. All you need to do is drop the song into garageband, cut it down to the right length, then use itunes to convert it back to mp3. All you need to do after that is put it on your phone! (Of course, finding ringtones already made on the internet is much simpler...)
Love your blog, by the way!!
crackberry.com has lots of free ringtones and you can send them to your bberry through an email. good luck.
mobile17.com as katy said, is cool too. you can make your own there!
Thanks for the information! I hate not being able to download ringtones from Verizon.
Those links are great - I've had my BB for months and have yet to settle on a ring tone I like. Most of them are too shrill for me. I'll have to check this out.
