By now I am sure you are beginning to get sick of me rave about The Lady of Milkweed Manor, but so those of you who have not read it I HIGHLY encourage you to skip over to Amazon and order your copy- they run as low as $1.99! As I have mentioned time and time again (thought not for a good while) this is one of the very best books I have ever read. It is a delightful story of a young girl in 19th century England. This book will touch your heart and I assure you that you will not be able to put it down. It is truly captivating. The author, Julie Klassen, is a marvelous historical, christian author. Well, you can imagine my excitement when I found out her second book will be available on the first of the year!
The Apothecary's Daughter sounds right up my alley and if you love historical fiction and all things British it is up yours too! I am sad to see 2008 go, but I now have yet another reason to be excited for 2009! Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that Julie Klassen lives in MN where I will be for the holidays. Perhaps a quick meeting at a book signing is in order. Head on over and order your copies of these books today. Get ready to get lost in a book and take a step back in time!

Have you read Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict? I don't want to tell you TOO much about it, but it is in paperback and probably is available on Amazon for about $2, and it is such a good read. Nothing heavy, but really a treat for those of us Anglophiles :)
Thanks for this reccommendation! I have been looking for a book to get my friend who is a history teacher and loves to read historical Christian fiction. This will be perfect!
I will check out both of them. They sound wonderful! Check out by blog, I commented about you today!
I am def. writing both books down on my "to-order" list!!
Oh, thanks for the tip- I'll pick that book up for my daughter as a stocking stuffer.
