Well dearests you are about to think of me in a whole new light. Just when you thought you knew me I throw you for a loop. As you know I love all things pink and green, cupcakes and Kappa. Jackie O, Charlotte Moss and Letitia Baldrige are some of my idols. Well, I have a confession: I also love Britney Spears!!
Now, I would not consider her to be a role model but ever since her days of 'Hit Me Baby One More Time' and 'Oops I Did It Again' I have been hooked. I was almost one of those die hard fans in high school. Freshmen year for Halloween I dressed up as Britney circa HMBOMT, I had a Britney shirt I worked out in (mother loathed this) and I even walked into town from Taft to buy OIDIA. My love faded as Britney changed, but now that she is getting back on track I am back on Team Brit! Hollywood is a tough world to make it in and I am just glad at least one person under pressure can turn their life around. I am all about Blackout, minus one song I think is odd, and of course I am sold on Circus! I am SOOO excited that BFF Britney will be in Dallas in March and I fully intend on going and reliving my obsession phase for just a night.

I guess it's time to admit that I secretly purchased tickets to her upcoming tour... ON PRE-SALE and I am in the process of memorizing every song on the new album. I too am on Team Brit!

I've decided Britney fits quite perfectly into the preppy lifestyle. She enjoys vacations, her children, good food, being independent...
I just pretend the head-shaving incident and going insane never happened :) Or Kevin Federline.
However, I am openly jealous she dated Justin Timberlake.
I have been wanting her to turn her life around also! I am so glad she is finally getting back on track! I am definately Team Brit!

I'm glad she turned her life around & all...I enjoy her music but personally, she seems like an over indulged, spoiled child. Her meltdown didn't surprise me. I'm not Team Brit, but I'm not against her either...I am just glad her children seem like they are in a safer place.
Not sure I would say I was on Team Brit, I have never purchased her music or gone to a concert. However, I am interested in her and have watched her new show on MTV. I think its great she has turned herself around. She seems very honest and I like that.

I've always been Team Britney! I love her! I was so dying to go to her concert but couldn't find anyone in Dallas to go with me. So, I think I may have to drive to Houston to go with a friend from there!
Watching her turn her life back around has been great for this Birt fan!!!

I have always been a Britney fan! I have seen her in concert numerous times (including 2 nights in a row AND I was at the concert they showed on HBO). I really really hope I can see her on this next tour!

Hey Hopsy! I think it is so interesting that all you sorority/preppy/peppy/all-American girls love Britney - my PD included :-) As a mom, I have hurt for that child so many times. And I have wondered how she has done as well as she has considering her own mom and dad are - well maybe a little nutty ;-) Glad she is getting back on track and I hope this is l-o-n-g-term. Cute Post!!!
One more thing - I have to confess that her Christmas song "Santa, That's My Only Wish This Year" is on my i-Pod and in my i-Tunes and on every Christmas CD that I have ever burnt ;-) I may just add it to my song list on my Blog Page ;-)

Girl I did a whole post on Britney too! I'm a DIEHARD fan, a little obbsessed actually. I just got Circus a few days ago-LOVE IT! I love Amy and Mr. Photographer! I was Britney for Halloween this past year and it was so fun! She'll always be my fave, plus she's a Southern girl too and we've got to stick together! Merry Christmas!
I'm so glad that she's getting her life turned around. I'm not a huge fan, but, I do love to work out to her music and I think she's probably a realyl sweet girl at heart--she just had to grow up in the spotlight. She's pretty dang fantastic.

This might be my favorite post you've ever posted. I reserved seats in AAC the minute I heard! I have to pick carefully who I invite simply because my dancing might be out of control I will be so into it. And the last thing I want is someone putting a damper on my Brit-Brit time ha ha. No invite for Bridge!
I love country music; however, Brit is the one artist I absolutely love!! And her body right now.. geez. super jealous, ha!
oh no, i LOVE her too. Her music is great. My parents wouldn't let me listen to her once she kissed Madonna at the VMA's, but now that I'm 17, I think I'm old enough now to enjoy her. My best friends are going to her concert in March!

I am SOOOO right there with you, Hopsy! One of my gal pals and I even drove all the way from Arizona to Vegas and back again in 1 day, just to see Britney in concert. Go Team Britney!!

Totally pro Britney. I myself, for a rockstar party, only 2 years ago, dressed up as Britney in the "Oops I did it again video"...yes, a red spandex suit. Certainly not one of my classiest moment, I really had fun that night. I channeled my inner Brit and had a great time!

Hi there! New reader here peeking in on your blog! I am a big Britney fan, too!! Always have been. She will be in Vegas on my birthday at MGM, so my hubby will be treating me to her concert and a fun getaway (bonus: Pussycat Dolls are touring with her! Confession #2 - Nicole Scherzinger is my girl crush!). Ha, ha! I am very excited!!
