So obviously the Martha Stewart site is no secret to us, however there is just so much on there that I thought these fabulous recipes just might be:
Penne with Creamy Pumpkin SauceYum! Does this not look and sound amazing? I plan on making it Wednesday evening for dinner. I will make sure to let you know how it all is and might even take a photo to share.
Onto my favorite Halloween treats...
I am going to a Halloween party and since I plan to go as Martha Stewart I thought it was only appropriate to bake and bring some of her fabulous treats.
These may not look that appetizing, but how can you really pass up a chocolate cupcake with buttercream frosting piled on top?? On Wednesday I think I might also make a small, basic chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. I am sure you are thinking what an interesting (and unhealthy) dinner Hopsy...

Dulce de Leche Bat Cookies
I am a HUGE fan of Dulce de Leche, huge! When we lived in Panama it was the only flavor of Hagan Daz I would ever order. It is so creamy and rich.
I came across these cookies which I thought were adorable. If only I had the special little tool needed to get the bat shape I could make these too.
Mini Pumpkin Whoopie PiesSurprisingly enough I actually did not find this recipe under the Halloween treats section. Rather is came up when I searched pumpkin (and found the pasta). These are a definite must and I can assure you I will be making them. Though I doubt mine will be nearly as pretty as the photo I am sure they will taste delicious!
Make sure to tune in tomorrow for some fabulous costume ideas that will work for any age!
PS- did anyone know Martha is now doing foods for Costco?! There are currently three soups and an entree (holiday ham) listed on the website.

Oh, and they have mini cookie cutters at William Sonoma, I think.
If I see some, I will pick them up and send them to you.

Martha for President! I was planning on making whoopie pies (we call them Devil Dogs) this week for a charity bake sale. Maybe I will try the pumpkin ones!

Yummy! I need to make the pumpkin pasta! I had pumpkin ravioli last weekend. I want more, NOW!!! :)

I love the bat cookies! They look so cute and delicious!
Just recently started reading your blog and I'm really enjoying it. I am hoping to make some of those yummy treats from Martha for my Halloween Party as well. There are so many cute ideas in the magazine this month.
I knew that Martha Stewart had a line of food at Costco last year, but I did not realize they would be selling it again this year. I am looking forward to trying the appetizers this year. It would be nice to have some frozen appetizers on hand for spur of the moment guests.
I should not have read this so close to my lunchtime... I'm super hungry now, but for cookies... and that pasta looks SO delicious!!!
I love Halloween and can't wait for your next post!
The treats look delicious! You'll have to let us know how things turn out. Can't wait to see your halloween costume - I'm struggling to figure out a good (non-trashy) costume. If you have any suggestions feel free to throw them my way!
Those look amazing. Wish I had a kitchen at school. I may have to hit costco if Martha is making food for them!
I made the whoopie pies last weekend and they were sooooo good (a bit of work though...)
The Martha costume sounds great -- I'm going as Sarah Palin!
oh, yummy! i definitely need to make something exciting for the apartment and the girls as we all seem to be stressed out right now with work. im thinking those pumpkin whoopie pies sound really really good. xox
Oh my gosh--those brain cupcakes are crazy!!
Ok, you DO understand that I'm supposed to be dieting...? Seriously, there is nothing more delicious than pumpkin pasta. I had some amazing pumpkin cavatappi at Cirque in NYC and I've been hooked ever since.
The brains are disturbing, but delicious-looking!
Thanks for your kind words regarding my computer! I hope that I am back in business. Some of my keys are sticking awkwardly. I'm sure I'll have to do some cleaning!
Don't you just love Martha. I know she's over the top and has a tremendous staff...but a girl can dream, right???
The Brain cupcakes would be adorable. I'm just afraid I would totally screw up the frosting, so it wouldn't look anything like a brain- But I could save it for the "most messed up in the head" guest!! LOL!! :)
