In honor of it being National Cupcake day I felt it was a must that I put my culinary skill to work and get baking. No, I did not make my cupcakes from scratch since I did not decide to get baking until 7pm, but they did turn out wonderfully none-the-less. I used a box mix, but instead of using oil and water as the recipe called for someone I work with told me to subsided milk and butter for a more homemade taste. I took this advice and the cupcakes turned out fabulous!

Yum, don't they look good? Also, I hope I was not the only one to take note of all the pink. Since today was the last Legally Blonde performance on Broadway (tear, tear) I had to go all out and really honor the day. Pink makes just about anything better!

When I do buy the boxed mixes--I always buy the Duncan Hines butter recipe one (add a stick of butter) and everyone goes crazy over it!! ;-)
Yum! A new cupcake shop just opened up here and I can't wait to go. My friend had some at her CAbi party and they were adorable and super delicious.
In answer to your question about the CAbi line: it's really cute. I got three pieces and have rethought the whole thing and am getting two more. You should take a look at it if you get the chance.
