I have been tagged by Preppy, Pettit, The Dirty Martini Diaries, Pink Cupcake and Our Journey to Forever to share seven random or odd facts about myself. Here goes:1. I did not get my driver's license until I was two months shy of turning 22.
2. A photo of my third birthday was the first color photo (and on the front page!) of the Americus, GA paper. Since then I have been on the front page of all the high school and college newspapers.
3. I did not ever really dress myself until I was nine years old. When we lived in Honduras my morning routine was very much like that in the first scene of The Little Princess and no I am not ashamed of this.
4. I strongly dislike grape flavored candy.
5. I iron my sheets.
6. I have an intense fear of roaches. When I saw one in my first apartment I had to get my dish washing gloves and rain boots on before I could even go near it with the spray. Uh, the thought of seeing one just gives my chills!
7. I am the only granddaughter on one side of the family and one of only two grandchildren on the other.

I have an intense fear of roaches and spiders. I can't even kill them. Mr. Guru has too.
This is exciting . . . now I have to brainstorm 7 random things! (And on Legally Blonde being canceled - I can't believe it, it was such a great show!)
So cute! Yeah, did I mention the tarantula was dead and it took me 2 hours to get the nerve to put a bucket over it? I then put a brick on top and then a cast iron skillet!
ooohhhh I iron my sheets too...and I hate to clean, but it seems like a requirement.
Suddenly I don't feel so bad.
Well, your roach routine sounds like my frog routine! Ew!
Hopsy, I think you are just so devine! I would *love* to hear more about your childhood, and see photos of you as a little one, all dressed to the nines!
I'm embarassed to admit that Mr. Wonderful and I sleep in sheets of the jersey variety (for shame!) but are looking to upgrade once the merger is complete (that's how I like to refer to the wedding, ha). Do you have linen recommendations? And do you use linen water when you iron them?
Promise I'll write back soon, SO much to discuss!
xoxo

oh and p.s. I am extremely anti-grap candy as well, couldn't agree more!
I didn't really dress myself until I was about 12, but I am not bothered by this because my mom is the reason for my classy preppy style!
I am so glad to hear that other people iron their sheets! When I am not on a budget I just go and get them cleaned and pressed at the Dry Cleaners. So much easier.
TAG-check my blog for details!
I am seriously impressed that you iron your sheets...when do you have time for this?! :)
I LOVE The Little Princess! How fascinating, I would love to hear more about that in a post.
Thanks for your sweet comments, they are much appreciated.
I iron my sheets too! There's nothing like crisp bed linens. Now do you iron the fitted sheet too? I skip that one, and make sure the pillow cases and shams are super crisp. Drives my husband nuts! And grape candy, so gross. As a child I never liked grape, especially p.b. and grape jelly, ick.
Oh, boy--I'm the same way about roaches!!!!
Just letting you know that I JUST tagged you about this my blog! Go check it out!
I loved reading this! I'm on vaca so I will be a little MIA for a couple of days. I still have to reply to your email... I've been dying to respond and just haven't had enough time... you know I need a LOT of time to do so ;-) Proper Preppy is a huge hit so far!!
I can't stand STRAWBERRY flavored candy, ugh.
I also hate grape flavored candy too!! actually I hate all things grape flavored except actal grapes haha.
Loved your facts!
I love these kind of tags. It's not surprising that you were on the front page of those papers - you're adorable!
My aunt is trying to convince me to iron my sheets for a better night's sleep . . . not sure about it though
Well, I'm honored to be tagged by such a great blogger! Thanks little prep sister! I'll be putting my 7 unknown/oddities on my blog quite soon. Hope you have a wonderful day!
(I too come from a family with ironed sheets--you just sleep better, don't you think?)
