As you all know I am quite a big fan of Boatman Gellar! They make beautiful yet fun paper products and have definitely filled that preppy paper gap that existed just years ago. Well, I am sure you can just imagine my excitement when their brand managers (one who was also a Kappa!) graciously offered to do a giveaway with me several weeks back. Wow - this is a tough question! Hard to pick just one... I guess I'd have to say my Lacoste shirts. I wear them with skirts, capris, jeans - they're pretty versatile and come in so many great colors (my favorite one is my pink and white striped shirt).

Being a country girl Brit it would have to be my ancient Barbour wax jacket. It's not pretty but it's indispensible! I'd love to be entered into this giveaway!
I LOVE jack rogers sandals! They come in so many colors and work perfectly with either a dress or capris. This is such a cute giveaway.
I would have to say my favorite preppy staple is my grey toggle coat. Living in New England, it gets me through the cold winters, while still looking preppy.

Those are so cute! I would say my favorite preppy staple is pearl earrings. I just love simple classic jewelry.
While I love my Lilly, it's not always appropriate here (Chicago in the winter isn't Lilly friendly!). So I would say that my staple preppy item is my monogrammed Vera Bradley laptop bag. I also wear my large pearl earrings almost every day!

My favorite preppy staple would be pearls, because even with jeans and a tee-shirt pearls can still bring class and grace to the simplest outfit.

It was very difficult to choose, but I just couldn't live without my pearls or my large LL Bean tote I've had for the past 20+ years. It started off as my teaching supplies bag, then baby gear tote and has turned into a beach/pool tote. I love it could never part with it!

My preppy staple hands down are my pearl stud earrings!
besides the obvious strand of pearls and bonanno sandals, i would have to say a large picture of the grounds of the boarding school i attended years ago.
The first two thoughts that came to mind were my pearls and my monogramed LL Bean tote - both of which I can't live without.
But to be different I will say that I simply cannot live without my Kate Spade wicker collection in the spring/summer. I LOVE IT!

i am posting again, i put the picture on the list as a staple in my place, not necessarily one that i would wear like my pearls and bonannos.
I have a few. The first would be my monogrammed Bermuda Bag covers (from when I was in high school). The second would be my RL polo shirts. The third would have to be what I have of Lilly items.
I love my Lilly but I'm going to be a little bit different and say my flip flop flop collection - in madras, seersucker, embroidered critters, even monogrammed, I can't get enough!
hmm...probably Jack Rogers..I wear them almost everyday in the summer and I have them in about 6 or 7 colors!!
This stuff is SO cute! I have some adorable pink/green/white argyle notepads with my name across the top - those are definitely a favorite staple for everything from grocery lists to personal notes tucked inside cards (preppy girls don't write the note on the birthday card - they include a note on seperate personalized stationary).

It is a toughie, and pearls are of course a necessary staple. Earrings, necklace, even bracelets and rings are all so sweet.
But my most recent favorite staple is headbands. In tortoise, or wide fabric ones with a pattern, they just accent an outfit so well and pull it all together. My current favorite is my burberry one!

My preppy staple, now that fall is on its way, is my charcoal grey J. Crew peacoat. I've had it going on 10 years - it's been relined twice but it still keeps me warm and it never goes out of style.
What a fun give away! I love my mini-collection of searsucker skirts, which of course need pearls to go with them!

Wow, I have so many staples (pearls like everyone else) but I would have to say since fall is on the way...cashmere cable knit sweaters (some monogrammed) and driving mocs.

My preppy staple has got to be my argyle-print items. I'm a golfer, so I wear them there for fun (to fit in with all of the old men who think I don't play well!) and I love to mix and match my argyle for work and my night classes too!

My favorite preppy staple is a pair of pearl earrings :-) The bigger the better... I bought a perfect pair of Majorica pearl earrings in Spain a couple of years ago, and I pretty much wear them every day. Other than that, I would have to say anything Lilly, preferably in pink. Like Lilly P said "wear pink and make the boys wink..."

My favorite preppy staple would have to consist of two things: my button pearl earrings and my tiffany heart bracelet. I know that bracelet may be outdated, since I got it right after seeing Legally Blonde but I just can't seem to part with it. I guess I feel a little like Elle when I wear it.

My never-fail, preppy staple is my large stack of cable knit cashmere. I have summer weight, so-thick-you-feel-like-you're-drowning, and lovely "normal" weight. A girl can't have enough cashmere, no?
I didn't see the part that said "your favorite preppy staple". Sorry! I guess I would say mine would be either my Land's End tote, my Pierre Deux duffle, or my striped Lily polo.

Those of us that are longtime preps, grew up with Deans of Scotland cableknit sweaters, always worn with pearls, hauling our weekend extras in LL Bean boat and tote bags. . . momogrammed, of course! I still have them . . .lots of sizes and colors, and they are STILL in great shape! p.s. I LOVE gators! ;-)
My staple is a cardigan. I love cashmere generally and this summer I've loved my J.Crew Jackie cotton cardigans. I am eyeing the new J.Crew cards from the new fall collection!

My favorite preppy staple...ummm....would have to be my pearls. My Grandmother gave me an 18 inch strand. My favorite pearls are the ones left to me by my Mother. They are opera length, and gorgeous. Everytime I wear them, it reminds me of being a little girl, playing dress up with my Mother. Great Memories!
Of course, do not forget your Weejuns. I still have my from college days (and they are old, but they are slick and you can slide well in them for shaggin'). A Chi Omega shagger from the College of Charleston, many many years ago.

I agree with others, that this is a tough question to answer! I would have to say my coach purse because I tend to go back to it when no other purses work. But my number one thing would have to be my wedding ring! (I know geeky) but it completes me and I absolutely could not live without it! Oh, love the blog and I live in Fort Worth, Texas!
