Bon Voyage!!

Tomorrow I am off to the Cloister with my mother and father! We will be celebrating my father's birthday (which was this past Saturday) and having one last hurrah before he leaves for India in September. I am so, so, so excited to be returning to one of my favorite American hotels/resorts (others include the Mayflower Inn and the Waldorf Towers) and have a busy weekend in store. I have a squash lesson scheduled (I need to work on my skills before investing in that pink and green racket), squash game with father, hair highlights, a possible etiquette course, two Spin classes, shopping at the Cloister Collection and the Tibi outlet, indulging in delicious food and of course catching some sun! It is sure to be a delightful weekend! I will be sure to take numerous photos to share with you when I return on Sunday. Have a safe and marvelous holiday weekend and wear that Lilly while you still can!!
Also, a reminder to those of you who missed the GIVEAWAY:
Enter here (Tuesday evenings post) and share your favorite preppy staple item. NOTE- you MUST include your staple item in order to be entered....otherwise I am assuming you did not read the post and are only interested in the prize. Not so nice if you ask me! Leave a comment by 12pm on Monday September 1st, 2008 for your chance to win this amazing collection of alligator items from the wonderful Boatman Gellar: PS: Is anyone else beyond excited for John McCain's VP announcement? I think I have a good hunch who he might be picking, but I am not going to let myself get too certain. In my opinion there is a safe choice and a conservative choice; who will it be!?

Quick question:
Could you tell me who services the etiquette class you spoke of in your posting? We would like to offer one this year for our Officers Wives Club. There are many of us that need a brush up.
Thank you,
Jo

I have to say that I am Enamored with Sea Island and hope to charm my Husband into staying a Week there next Summer. It is a bit of a drive for us...8 Hours...and might be a bit of a haul with an Eighteen Month Old.

Have a wonderful trip! I grew up in Georgia, and my parents honeymooned at the Cloister. It's a magical place. Take lots of pictures to share when you return.

Sounds like you have a lovely weekend in store. I am definitely hitting up that pink and green McCain boutique!!! I am guessing he picked Pawlenty. Honestly, I'd love him to pick Huckabee, of whom I have become quite a fan while watching him as a frequent contributor on Fox News these past few months. Romney would be fine too. He's so darn handsome! I just worry a little about things he has said in the past coming back to bite him.

If he picked Thune I would fall over and just die. Actually I would drop out of school to join the campaign trial.
I have an obsession.

But more realistically, MITT MITT MITT MITT MITT MITT MITT MITT MITT MITT MITT MITT MITT MITT!! Have the best time!

Oh, I love Mitt, worked for him in Massachusetts, and as much as I want it to be him, and would love to serve him in the WH, I think McCain will pick a woman.
