August already!?

Sorry for being MIA for the past few days, but I have been busy as ever! Friday was a tres exciting day as M returned!! We had dinner at the one and only MiCo and she filled me in on everything! I was on also in Fort Worth on Friday for the first time. I did not really what an easy drive it is from Dallas and now that I have it all figured out I am going to have to go over the day and enjoy the city.

Saturday was very eventful and HOT. If you have been watching the news you know it is as hot as ever here in the Big D, but after all it is Texas so I mustn't complain. I hit up Starbucks before doing anything else on Saturday morning. I then stopped by our horrible apartment office (the people that work there are so incompetent, I could write an entire novel about the many issues we have had with them) to pick up a package we had received. Luckily, they had not lost this package and I was ecstatic when I saw the Mottahedeh tape! Mother dearest sent me two dinner plates in my new pattern Blue Canton!

I was so inspired by reading about Tinkled Pink and Green's TJ Maxx finds in Irving I could not resist making a trip. I stood very, very, very strong and did not buy a thing, aren't you impressed? I did spot numerous preppy finds and photographed a few for your enjoyment:

After all the lovely eye candy I headed back to my bubble. I had to hit up Williams Sonoma in HPV. My childhood friend from Memphis just moved into her new townhouse and last night was her houseman party. I picked out a selection of items and the kind lady that was assisting me did such a beautiful job boxing and wrapping. The gift looked just magnificent! If you have not been into your WS in some time get yourself there now! They are having a fabulous sale! I was hoping they would have the pink and blue toile placemats and napkins in (they would look fabulous with my Blue Canton dinner plate), but there are gone, gone, gone! Saturday evening I went to C's, watched How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days, did laundry and.... PLANNED OUR FAMILY LABOR DAY TRIP TO SEA ISLAND with mother! We are both so excited! Everything is set and like the Lilly/NYC trip I am already counting down the days. I am so excited to attend Spin class, hit up the Tibi outlet, take squash lessons, eat delicious food and sit by the pool. What could make for a more perfect Labor day weekend!?

Today was a typical Sunday: church, grocery store and life around the apartment. I had thought about going and sitting by the pool, but considering it was 108 outside I chose to stay inside and make iced tea. I am about to finish catching up on emails to all of you all and will then create a more exciting post! I hope everyone has had a fabulous weekend, can you believe summer is almost over... it is already August!!
