Tomorrow is the BIG day, Mamma Mia hits British theaters! I have been looking forward to the release of this movie ever since I saw the preview back in February. Just as many of you did. I too grew up listening and dancing to ABBA (and the Beach Boys, Four Season and oldies galore) and it holds a dear place in my heart. Then, when Ateens appeared on the music scene in high school I was hooked right away too. The Mamma Mia soundtrack is always in my car and N and I even sang Slipping Through My Fingers to our little ones at camp one night- they thought the song was Sucking On Your Fingers... Oh tomorrow is just such a fabulous day to be in the UK! I just hope I can find time to get to the theater, my fingers are crossed!
PS can you all believe Karen from Mean Girls is Sophie!?
PPS I adore Christine Baranski! This is mostly due to the fact that her two daughters went to high school with me and I sat next to her at a play!

Ahhhh Mamma Mia! Going back to pick up the CD while we were in the middle of a day off was the best decision we EVER made...well one of them. Remember how we wanted to do "does your mother know" as a lip sync?

I am DYING to see it...I love the music and the musical but I also LOVE Colin Firth to death! So jealous the UK gets to see it before we do! Hope you enjoy it!
You are so lucky. I do not think it comes out in the states until July 18th. My husband and I saw the show in New York a few years agao and it was fantastic. I hope the movie lives up to my expectations!
