A Foggy Day In London Town

The title is not really appropriate seeing as it was not the least bit foggy today, however I was SO excited when I came up with it last night that I could not resist! What a FANTASTIC day we had in London, well at Harrods really. We got there early enough that we beat the morning, tourist crowd (thank goodness). We had just enough time to do some quick browsing (our first stop was Lilly of course) before enjoying lunch at the Terrace Cafe.

After a Caesar salad and lemonade we headed back out to look at all the children's clothing:

Who knew Dior baby/child could be so cute? This was the pink and green rack, the other was full of a redish, pink toile. Everything was so cute and actually very affordable!
Classic Burberry for the little ones.

Pink plaid make my world go round!

I also spotted this pram near the soon-to-open nursery furniture section. I had a Silver Cross when I was a baby (well two actually, my grandparents bought me the child size one for my dolls) so this is for you mother. It is not the Kensington, but never-the-less it made me think of you!

After a little more browsing (and some gift buying) we headed to our favorite: Laduree! Sadly, Laduree does not allow you to take photos inside, so this is all I managed. Please make sure to notice the 10+ secret service that surrounded the tea room as we were leaving. We were trying to figure out who the next guest might be, but had no luck. At least we were able to conclude it was not President Bush...he is not arriving until tomorrow.

Not the best photo of my passion fruit, raspberry tart, but seeing as it is always so wonderful I had to include it. Also, I want you all to know when you go you MUST order either the Carmel or Vanilla tea, they were the best teas we have EVER tasted! In fact when I go to Paris (fingers crossed my chunnel day trip works out) I am going to buy both to take home.
Notice the secret service are still outside at least an hour after we left. Who could it have been?

What a day, what a day. Before I go I also wanted to let you all know that today was the official celebration of Queen Elizabeth's birthday. This was marked by the Tropping of the Colour, or military ceremony at Trafalgar Square today. Anyway, I am off so enjoy the brief summary and I will post some other fun photos tomorrow or Monday; until then!

Okay...those children's clothes! Oh, my goodness! How incredibly adorable!! I've ordered the novel you suggested...can't wait to read it. Thanks so much for reading my blog--you're my only reader right now. I'm really not telling many people about it yet. My husband and dad read it, though, and they liked it. We're in the midst of the Father's Day celebration. My father-in-law came over tonight, tomorrow we'll celebrate my husband and then celebrate with my dad tomorrow night. Glad you had fun today...I'm so curious who that VIP was.

Laduree is my absolute fave! I have only been to the ones in Paris so next time I am in London, I will have to check that one out. Their macaroons are to die for. I am so jealous!
