BA is A okay!

As planned E and I arrived at the airport just after 2:30pm yesterday afternoon. I am so thankful we got there when we did because we were early enough for me to upgrade for a mere $250! When I asked how much it would cost to upgrade to the next class and the British Airways agent gave me the number I did not think twice and was ready to hand over my Amex, what a deal, right? Well anyway, the kind lady was all about getting me my seat until her supervisor said they were not to be selling upgrades and could put me on a wait list. However, I tried to be extremely nice and perhaps he overheard me because minutes later he told my agent if she saw a seat she could go ahead and upgrade me right now. So, thankfully I was able to upgrade and had a wonderful flight across the Atlantic. I got a good night's rest and was asleep before they even served dinner and woke up just as they were coming around with breakfast (which was very odd by the way) and have thus been able to stay up all day! I breezed through customs and got my luggage (unlike last summer it made it this time) and the E and I waved goodbye to hello and said hello to the gorgeous, English countryside. It was the perfect day here today, sunny and in the seventies, which made for an even more beautiful drive. All the flowers are starting to bloom and we have seen some swans with their signets; it is just oh so picturesque. We spent the afternoon picking up groceries (well I grabbed the latest copies of Grazia, Hello and Country Life) and settling in. I have actually got to unpack as soon as I post this and then I will be in for an early night as tomorrow is another big day. It is so wonderful to be here and thank you all for all your wishes and kind words before my departure. I will update again tomorrow so until then!

PS: AR thank you so much for your kind tag; it made my day! Also, Blissful Belle, thank you for your invite, I am so excited we get to share stories!

We did the upgrades on British Air both ways on our trip to London last month and I'll never be able to go in coach again. What a huge difference!
