I forgot to include this last night, but this is the tissue box at the airport in Abu Dhabi. I just could not resist a photo. Plus, it is very fitting for my upcoming trip to Paris!Tomorrow I am off to London and then Paris for the day on Thursday. Therefore I will yet again be MIA for a day, I am terribly sorry all you faithful readers! However, this is the last time for a few works that you will have to live without me so do not get too upset! I have a list of places I am hitting up tomorrow in London:
*Heywood Hill bookshop
*Smythson of Bond Street (Aspinal does not have a store as far as I know and SoB is having a sale!)
*Colefax and Fowler (to see the Nancy Lancaster Yellow Room)
*Kensington Palace to see the Last Debutant exhibit
*If I have time possibly Hummingbird Bakery (I adore cupcakes and thought it would be fun to pop in)
*The Connaught Hotel (I will enjoy not only a delightful room, but also a pick-me-up Coke and their signature chips after a day of strolling down Bond Street and around Mayfair.)
On Thursday morning I am up and at it before dawn as I have to catch my 5:25am train to Paris. I cannot wait to return to the city where I have bought more handbags then any lady needs and where I spent months studying Gothic art. As soon as I arrive I plan to stop and grab a cappuccino and pain au chocolate. Then, here is my day in brief:
*Metro from Gare du Nord to Palais Royal.
*Stop and get pashminas (they have the best colors, quality and prices in Paris).
*Possible stop at the Louvre to see my thesis painting and a few other Andachtsbilder.
*Catherine (my FAVORITE store in all of Paris. The three best handbags I have ever purchased have come from this hidden treasure on Rue du Castiglione. Wherever I go people stop and ask me where these bags came from; they are so amazing. I am crossing my fingers I will not leave Catherine empty handed!)
*Herve Chapelier
*Longchamp
*Laduree for tea and perhaps a quick sandwich. I am also going to pick up some of their amazing caramels for mother dearest, their caramel and vanilla teas and of course some macaroons!
*Maille for some mustard.
*Fauchon to pick up some chocolate and dinner for the train ride home.
*Pop into Hermes to look at the scraves.
*D Porthault
*If I have time I might run into Zara to check for this adorable, floral, Oscar de la Renta shift I saw in London (they did not have my size). I may also try and run over to Poilane, but am not sure I will have the time to get to the other side of the Seine.
I have a busy, but life changing two days ahead of me. I could not be any more excited and will be sure to take some fabulous photos. When I return I plan to post as well as update my Daily Reads list. Sorry I have not been too good at responding to comments, but work has kept me on my toes this past week! As promised, I will get back to you all by this weekend. Have a wonderful evening!

So jealous of the fabulous trip you've been on! I've been trying to snag a Herve Chapelier and Longchamp off of ebay for the past couple weeks. I've heard when people go to Paris they snag a bunch of these bags and was curious if they were less expensive over there or what. Have a WONDERFUL time!
what a fabulous trip planned. have so much fun!
Oh my goodness! Loved the Abu Dhabi pictures and can't wait to hear all about Paris!!
(I had such a great time in Dallas, though I didn't get out of the suburbs! I think the summer issue of D Beauty should still be around when you get back - I loved it! D Magazine this month also has so many new restaurants that I want to try when I move home! You're so lucky :))
